All you need to know about Blogs, Blogging and why you need it. - Blogging is as cool as talking to my Big Bro

Blogging is as cool as talking to my Big bro

What is the meaning of Blog and why do I need it?

A blog is a platform for digital marketing, self Promotion and connecting with friends and family.
.....................
About digital marketing ==> http://digitalbizmoney.blogspot.com.ng/2017/02/what-you-should-know-about-digital-biz.html
.....................
It's used to share informative post, Articles, tutorials and also connect with friends.
Some good example of blogs are our social media platforms (facebook, whatsapp, twitter etc.). A blog is very vital as it is a sure way to self-promotion.

What is Blogging?

Blogging has to do with creating post, articles and sharing Ideas with the world.
Such posts could be on entertainment, music, sport, news, tutorials, Comedy etc... If you have ever shared a post or made a post online or offline, then you've been blogging even without knowing it.
.....................

The difference between blogging on social media networks like facebook, twitter, whatsapp, even instagram and Blogging on personalized platforms like  WordPress, blogger and other self-hosted blogging platforms is that:

"On social media networks, there are some restrictions to what and what not to do. And getting paid for doing what you do or love doing like sharing posts, funny videos and all that; is not easy.
But on a personalized platform like Blogger.com ==> "you are the Boss"

Some of the importance of Personalized Blogging Platforms include:

1. Only posts supported by you are displayed; unlike facebook and whatsapp where friends sometimes post unrelated articles and annoying adverts that spam your wall and weaken your battery.
2. You decide how to make money with your blog or website.
3. Upon promotion, your posts go viral... (Worldwide).

Why Should I start with Blogger?

Blogging on Blogger is the most used, inexpensive, easy to learn, customize and one of the surest way to make money online and that's why I support and advice all new bloggers to start with blogger.

Note: Upgrade to WordPress and other Platforms are allowed. So,  you can make upgrades anytime.

Hope this helps

Well Filtered reasons why you need to start a Blog

In this blog post I will point out some of the main reasons why you should start your own blog. I really hope that the list below will encourage you enough to take action.

Should I start a blog?

It depends. Here are some things to consider before you start a blog.
  1. Self-promotion and New Opportunities

When you have a blog you basically have a “tool” or a “channel” to promote yourself or make you look like an expert. You’ll be amazed how many people start to respect you and I know many cases when employers actually contact blog owner directly to offer working positions or joint venture opportunity. This will open you a lot of doors that you might have not been aware or  dreamed of.
  2. Blog Can Help To Grow Your Business

Does your company have a blog? If not, then you are missing a lot of it. Blogs can impart a lot of things about your company.

For example, your potential clients can read interesting stories about your company success, ideas, strategies and even new products that might turn them into regular paying customers. That’s a huge opportunity that lot a of small and big firms are not using.

Furthermore, companies who blog have 97% more inbound links (which means more traffic and visitors)

Nigeria’s Top 5 Earning Bloggers By Monthly Income

Nigeria's top 5 earning bloggers by monthly income

For many young Nigerians making money as a blogger is a pipe dream, better to get a full time job that pays a good salary such as a bank job than just sitt behind a computer with internet access and upload information to share with an online audience. But that may be utter rubbish going by the impressive incomes these Nigerian bloggers earn from their blogs. We profile them in descending order.

Top 5 Bloggers in Nigeria by Income

 Here's our list of top 5 money making bloggers in Nigeria;

Linda Ikeji: Earns between N3 million – N4 million monthly

If you’re looking for an example of how to earn money absolutely free of charge with zero investment online here in Nigeria then Linda Ikeji’s story provides ample proof. She practically runs a blog on a free platform – blogger – without paying for domain or web hosting or even better yet a professional SEO consultant to help her optimize her blog to build an online audience that runs into millions of fans. She’s what you’ll call the Arianna huffington of Nigerian blogosphere except that she’s more biased towards entertainment gist and human angle stories. She recently completed a second house for her parents in addition to the 2 flashy cars she owns worth over N10 million, Linda can prove many wrong you can succeed in Nigeria without being born with a Silver spoon in your mouth and from doing something trivial as well – blogging.
Her blog: www.lindaikeji.blogspot.com

Oluwaseun Osewa: Earns more than N2 million monthly

Innocent and cute looking Seun founded Nairaland in 2005 and was so confident of building wealth with it that he dared anyone interested in buying his website to pay N25 billion for it. Today Seun can afford to sleep all day at home as his website runs on auto-pilot – he hardly creates topics nor does he moderate topics posted – and the best part of it he doesn’t need to hire anyone for any reason. We could nickname Seun the Mark Zukerberg of Nigeria except that by page views and may be layout nairaland still has a long way to go when compared to facebook.
His blog: www.nairaland.com

Bamidele Onibalusi – at least N1.6 million monthly

Young but very hard working Bamidele Onibalusi is one of the quiet money making bloggers in Nigeria that very few people will ever hear about. He knows only too well that making the money and building a reliable brand means more to him than being seen and heard hence why he’s strictly about freelance writing and his private life but the young Nigerian article writer has made a name for himself with US based companies that hire him to write for them through hard work and perseverance. 6 months of consistent guest blogging has made him the world’s leading expert on guest blogging and why he has a huge number of aspiring writers as fans.
His Blog: www.writersincharge.com

Uche Eze Pedro – at least N1.5 million monthly

She started Bella Naija as a hobby, sharing magazine publications, mostly lifestyle to her audience like Linda Ikeji using blogger. But having built such a large audience it dawned on her to take on a more corporate brand hence why she registered “Bella Naija” domain. Today she’s Nigeria’s 4th highest earning blogger and an employer of labour as well.
Her Blog: www.bellanaija.com

Japheth Omojuwa: at least N500,000 monthly

Japheth may not be a household name to many Nigerians on the regular blogosphere but find your way down to micro-blogging platform twitter and a powerful personality emerges in @omojuwa with 95,000 plus followers and commanding an influence that has made brands trust his power to influence consumer choices. Japheth gets paid to make brands trend on twitter or simply just for talking about football via: #MTNFootball. His regular blog: www.omojuwa.com is among Nigeria’s 100 most visited websites although nothing to compare with a few others making mega bucks by the side.

Peaceful but heavy protest by Auchi Poly Students - [See Details and Photos].

Peaceful but heavy protest by students of Auchi
Polytechnic Auchi has brought vehicular movement to an
abrupt stop at the ever busy Benin/Abuja express way, a
road linking the North and the south.
.
The students whose grievance was due to the continued
strike by the ASUP (Auchi poly chapter) due to an unpaid
arrears by the Federal govt, undue demotion, sack and
suspension of some lecturers alleged to be corrupt and
other factors which the lecturers are pushing on to be met
by Management and Federal govt of Nigeria.
.
Over two months now, academic activities in the school
has been epileptic and now, it has been grounded
totally following the strike action by lecturers of the
institution who are at loggerhead with the management
of the school and the Federal govt. over the sack of their
colleagues alleged to be corrupt, payment of arrears etc.
.
Trying to bring both the lecturers and the management
of the school to a round table discussion by the SUG
body proves abortive as the lecturers are more agitative
than ever. And the students who seems to be the most hit
by the tussles has now took to the Federal road carrying
out a peaceful protest with several inscriptions on their
placards, thereby sending signals to the appropriate
authorities to come to their aid as the tussles which
started since last year after the tenure of the previous
Rector has now be full blown, thereby frustrating
academic activities and stretching the academic calender
of the school.
The protest is peaceful, but the Federal road has been
blocked by the students thereby shutting movement for
about two hours now.
.
Last year's academic calender slided into this year due to
this same issue and many of the final year students are
still yet to be called for service due to late or no
registration for the NYSC scheme..........
